ASOVIA s.r.o. produces standardized rivets according to the currently applicable STN, ČSN, BS, EN, ASTM and GOST standards. The company’s portfolio also includes rivets produced according to customers’ internal standards and requirements, design documentation, etc. (Rivets with specifically shaped heads, such as those with various projections or protrusions, e.g. numbers, compensators, etc.).
Precision for the aviation industry
The company’s main activity is producing rivets specially for the aviation industry, which places special emphasis on the rivets’ precision, the strict standards for the mechanical and chemical properties of the input materials, and the rivets’ resulting mechanical properties.
For rivets with the specifically shaped heads used in the aircraft industry, the most important factor is easy, precise identification of each individual rivet. For this reason, during production rivets are marked with specific numbering that defines the material (the head has the protruding number). Alternatively, the head is characterized by a protrusion called a compensator, which plays an important role in riveting. It reduces the risk of cracks and positively affects a range of the rivets’ other mechanical properties.
TECHNOLOGY
Our rivets must meet a wide range of specifications during production. Also important is dimensional and formal precision within strict tolerances (constant diameter along the entire length of the rivet body, compliance with angles and radii).
We supply rivets with various surface treatments, including zinc plating, elox-anodic oxidation, tin plating, chromating, phosphating.
The rivets undergo strict interim inspections throughout the production process. At the end they undergo a final exit inspection (for shape and size).
At the request of the customer, or based on a requirement defined by the standard, the rivets are subjected to shear strength tests with a report on the resulting values issued by a certified testing institute.
